Leaseholders of luxury apartments in heart of Harrogate turn to expertise of Pure Block Management team

Leaseholders of a luxury apartment complex in the famous spa town of Harrogate have turned to the expertise of the team at Pure Block Management to ensure their property is maintained and managed to the highest standard.

The instruction of Montpellier Parade Limited – a company formed by the leaseholders of the apartments in 8-12 Montpellier Parade – marks Pure Block Management’s first assignment in the town, as the company continues to expand its coverage.

The development includes six luxury one, two and three bedroom apartments, set over two floors, overlooking the picturesque Stray Parkland in the heart of the historic, Victorian town.

A ‘significant instruction’

Liam Parker, Director of Pure Block Management, says he was thrilled when the business was approached to take over the management of the apartments, and hopes it will lead to further work in Harrogate, and surrounding towns such as Wetherby.

“We’re thrilled with this instruction, particularly as the leaseholders came to us on the back of our reputation, our recent growth, and knowing the quality of our team and how efficiently they work,” he said.

“It is a really significant instruction for us and it is fantastic that they have placed their faith in us as these are high-end, highly sought-after period properties, in a fantastic location.”

Overlooking Harrogate's highly regarded Montpellier quarter, with the famous Betty's Tea Rooms just a short distance away and the award-winning Valley Gardens on the doorstep, the apartments are also just a stone’s throw away from dozens of exclusive shops, health and beauty salons, pavement cafes, bars and award-winning restaurants.

“The properties are long-term leaseholds and there is a mix of full-term residents, second home owners and tenants,” added Mr Parker.

“We will ensure they benefit from the highest possible management services at all times, from property management and compliance to maintenance, whilst at all times ensuring sensible and cost effective future planning and financial management for both leaseholders and tenants.”

Mr Parker says he has been particularly pleased to see leaseholders of a ‘well maintained’ residential block take the decision to move to Pure Block Management, reflecting the business’ standing in the sector.

“Often, when leaseholders take the decision to move from one management company to another, it is because they have become very frustrated because the property has not been maintained well, or perhaps because they are worried that it starting to lose value, and leading to rising costs.

“In this case they have simply come to us because they feel we will offer the best service and value.

“This property has been previously maintained to a high standard, yet these leaseholders have decided to switch to us on the back of our reputation, and because of the reputation of our team. That is really pleasing.”

Business building on successful 2024

Pure Block Management enjoyed a successful 2024 in which it expanded from its traditional East Yorkshire base and secured a number of new instructions in York, where it has also opened a new office, and also in Whitby.

It recently appointed experienced property specialist Laura Street as an Associate Director, whilst also recruiting George Baker, who has previously worked in the industry for a Manchester-based specialist, as Compliance Manager.

Mr Parker added: “We’re constantly evolving as we are expanding our geographical coverage, and also our team. It’s an exciting time for us all.”
